Miles took the girl to a truck stop to meet Oklahoma truck driver Bryan Murphy. They climbed into Murphy’s truck, and the woman began “having sex with Murphy” in front of the teenager.
The Seattle Times reports Murphy “grabbed the girl's leg,” during the act. The teen “freaked out and exited the truck, then walked for miles to a middle school, where her 17-year-old sister picked her up.”
Washington State Patrol Capt. Roger Wilbur calls the teenager “a brave young lady.”
Wilbur continued, “We hope every young person who is the victim of sexual abuse will follow her example. Our detectives work to get children to safety and hold their abusers accountable.”
Raw Story reports police found text messages between Miles and Murphy showing they reached a deal to get married after the driver had sex with the girl.
The charges indicate Murphy once served as a reserve police officer in Oklahoma.

A Carnation woman is accused of agreeing to sell her daughter’s virginity and an arrest warrant has been issued for the out-of-state truck driver who tried to pay to have sex with the 14-year-old, according to charging documents filed in the case.
The 46-year-old woman, met truck driver Bryan Murphy, 38, online, charging papers say. The Times is not naming the woman to protect the identity of her daughter. She arranged to allow Murphy, described as her “boyfriend” in charging documents, to have sex with her daughter in exchange for rent money and a marriage proposal, according to the charges filed by King County prosecutors.
Both the woman and Murphy are charged with commercial sex abuse of a minor.
On Jan. 26, the woman took the 14-year-old to Ken’s Truck Town off Interstate 90 near North Bend and climbed into Murphy’s semi-truck with her daughter, the charges say. The woman was having sex with Murphy when Murphy grabbed the girl’s leg, charges allege. The teen “freaked out and exited the truck,” then walked for miles to a middle school, where her 17-year-old sister picked her up, the charges say.
The sisters called a family friend and police.
On Jan. 27, detectives with the Washington State Patrol Missing and Exploited Children Task Force interviewed the woman at the patrol’s Bellevue office and she gave them access to her cellphone, which included numerous texts between her and Murphy, according to the charging papers. Detectives say the woman admitted that Murphy wanted to have sex with both of her daughters but particularly the 14-year-old because she is a virgin, charging papers say.
In their text exchange, Murphy told the woman he had a ring and would marry her the day after he had sex with the 14 year old, as well as pay $400 — half the money she needed for rent, according to the charges.
The woman was booked into King County Jail on Jan. 27, according to jail records, which show she is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Murphy’s driver’s license was issued in Neosho, Mo., in January 2013, but he also has ties to Miami, Okla., and once served as a reserve police officer in Oklahoma, say the charges. A $250,000 warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday.
Prosecutors believe Murphy, who “travels frequently as a trucker,” is aware that the woman has been charged and is attempting to evade capture, charging papers say.
